Nic is two months old!!!

Nic is now two months old! How time flies! He has his two month well baby check up today, he is a big, healthy boy! He is 22 inches long and weighs 11.10 pounds! On May 17 Nic rolled from his tummy to his back for the first time. He started smiling two days after Kevin left, now it seems he is full of smiles! He is such a happy baby!

Before Kevin deployed he had doubts about me keeping up with the yard, so I just wanted to put a few pictures up to show that I have been able to maintain the outside of our house!!!

In Iraq

Kevin arrived in Iraq on Friday around midnight. He said it was an exciting night, everyone was so glad to see one another and he was so happy to catch up with his guys! He wants everyone to know he is doing good! I will keep putting updates on here. Keep him and everyone out there in your prayers!

In Kuwait

I talked to Kevin this afternoon! Just hearing his voice makes me feel so much better! They arrived in Kuwait yesterday. He said it was such a long flight with quite a few stops! Kev is keeping busy by sleeping and playing games right now. Of course, he still has his briefings and everything else to prepare to head to Iraq. He should be there sometime this weekend. I will keep you all updated on Kevin while he is away! Being able to talk to Kevin really completed my day!

May 5, 2007....Deployment Day

We took Kevin to Fort Bliss early on Saturday morning and spent most of the morning with him. He sent us away before they had to load the buses, which was real hard. But then, saying goodbye is never an easy thing. The hardest part was driving away, seeing him standing in the parking lot and not being able to turn around......

Dear Lord,Give me the greatness of heart to see the difference between duty and his love for me. Give me understanding that I may know, when duty calls him he must go. Give me a task to do each day, to fill the time when he's away. And Lord, when he's in a foreign land, keep him safe in your loving hand. And Lord, when duty is in the field, please protect him and be his shield. And Lord, when deployment is so long, please stay with me and keep me strong. Amen.
